Trusts & Estates Legal Administrative Assistant

A mid-size law firm in Boston is looking for an experienced Legal Administrative Assistant to support the estate and tax planning practice of our fast-paced Trusts & Estates Department.

The Trusts & Estates Administrative Assistant is responsible for the preparation of draft estate plan documents and final documents for execution. This position handles the post-execution processes to include drafting of letters to clients and creation of estate planning binders; maintaining of client files with current estate plans; and handling transmission of original estate plan documents to firm vault.

This position supports the Probate/Estate Administration by creating and maintaining pleadings binders of estate administration cases and related tax returns; and the preparation of probate documents and filing packages for probate court.

Administrative responsibilities of the position include, assisting with monthly client billing to include reviewing and editing of pre-bills and sending final invoices to clients in a timely manner; calendar maintenance and appointment setting for attorneys; maintaining contacts in Outlook; and setting up new client matters to include drafting of fee agreements.

Candidates are required to have:

  • Minimum of 3 years of Trusts & Estates experience

  • Excellent organizational, communication, prioritization, and deadline management skills

  • Must exhibit flexibility, attention to detail and ability to multi-task

  • Maintains strict confidentiality in all client and firm matters

 

 

Salary: $70,000 -$75,000 per year
