Staff Accountant

This position is in the Life Sciences Industry. To continue solid growth, we are seeking a talented and highly motivated Contract Staff Accountant to join growing organization. This is a temporary to hire position.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and post bank related journal entries including daily preparation of cash entries

  • Prepare and maintain bank reconciliations

  • Apply outgoing bank activity in Syteline to their corresponding vouchers

  • Prepare and maintain reconciliations for various balance sheet accounts

  • Prepare and post vacation and bonus accrual

  • Prepare and post corporate credit card journal ensuring information is consistent with credit card statements and general ledger coding is correct

  • Assist in coordination of intercompany activity with both domestic and foreign subsidiaries

  • Provide quarterly and year end audit support, including account analysis and preparation of audit schedules

  • Prepare VAT Tax filings and assist in VAT related activities

  • Prepare and post monthly 401k match reclass to expense

  • Prepare sales and use tax return for TX, WA, KS, MA, VA, CA, GA, IL, MO, NJ, MD, CO and ensure they are filed timely; adhering to states’ individual filing frequencies.

  • Maintain sales and use files for unregistered states

  • Prepare and maintain Construction in Process file and follow up with requisitioners to ensure timely capitalization of Fixed Assets

  • Capitalize fixed assets and depreciate monthly

  • Maintain Fixed Assets Rollforward

  • Maintain Capital Expenditure Request log and review for completeness

  • In collaboration with SEC & Technical Accountant, plan and execute year end fixed asset impairment analysis

  • Provide additional support to Accounting department as needed

  • Maintain and prepare prepaid journal entries

  • Maintain Vouchers Payable



  • Bachelor’s degree in business related field required, accounting preferred

  • 1+years relevant experience in accounting

  • Experience in ERP Systems, Syteline ERP highly preferred

  • Advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables)

  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)

Salary: $63,000.00 - $73,000.00 per year
