A mid-size law firm in Boston has an opening for a patent legal administrative assistant with a minimum of 2 years of Patent experience to join their very busy Patent Prosecution Department.
This position is responsible for supporting and assisting patent attorneys with all administrative work relating to US, PCT and foreign patent applications, information disclosure statements, assignments, responses, and all documentation associated with correspondence to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (“USPTO”). Other responsibilities include attorney docket monitoring and management, assistance with managing of foreign patent applications, communication with and reporting to clients and foreign associates regarding instructions and the status of applications and actions, maintenance of patent portfolios, uploading and filing of application and all other documents/fees with the USPTO, uploading and filing assignment and title documents with Electronic Patent Assignment System, and other duties as assigned.
Successful candidates will have excellent organizational, word processing, communication and deadline management skills. Bachelor’s degree is required. The ability to pay attention to detail, multi-task and juggle priorities is essential. Must be self-motivated and a self-starter; will be expected to attend to multiple tasks without being told or requested.
