Marketing and Business Development Coordinator

A National Boston law firm is seeking a Marketing and Business Development Coordinator. This is a full-time, nonexempt, hourly position in the Business Development and Marketing Department reporting to the Senior Business Development Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist with the oversight of practice group and department business development activity to ensure objectives are met; including, but not limited to, new business pitches and RFPs, event management, and client development programs (i.e.: client feedback and client teams). Assist with RFP and pitch responses by working with attorneys to draft, collect, and/or organize content as received from attorneys.

Work with attorneys to develop customized materials for prospect/client presentations.

Ensure follow up is sought from attorney’s post pitch; track and act on actions which arise.

Collaborate with the library to review in-depth research and analysis of clients, prospects and competitors to determine a strategy for outreach.

Coordinate and identify sponsorships, conferences or speaking opportunities that raise the firm’s overall profile.

Maintain practice group/industry transaction lists, case studies and other marketing content to ensure that material is compelling and up-to-date.

Develop targeted invitee mailing lists for events. Report on RSVPs and who-knows-whom.

Assist attorneys with maximizing event involvement by identifying opportunities for client and target touch points.

Support event execution as needed.

Proactively collect feedback after the event and encourage follow-up activities. Report on return on investment.

Work collaboratively with Marketing team to ensure opportunities for profile raising and publicity are enhanced.

Provide back-up as needed to fellow members of the Marketing and Business Development team.

Track and allocate sports tickets on a recurring basis.

Assist with monitoring and tracking of BD budget.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-
BA/BS degree required.

2-4 years’ experience in supporting marketing or business development in professional services (ideally law firm setting).
ADDITIONAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Excellent grammar, spelling and proofing for content and context.

A high degree of organization, flexibility and reliability to set priories, manage multiple responsibilities and work well under pressure.

Ability to assume responsibility for assigned tasks, and if necessary, able to delegate workload in order to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Excellent interpersonal skills and professional presence including good verbal skills, tact and diplomacy as well as the ability to interact positively with all types of people in all levels of business.

Ability to work collaboratively with team members as well as attorneys and staff throughout the firm.

Adaptable to last minute changes and disruptions, and able to accommodate occasional overtime work.
Salary: $55k - $68k Per Year
