About the Role

Our client is seeking a Real Estate Paralegal working with the Real Estate attorneys providing legal support.  The position is a full-time, non-exempt position based in the Boston office, offering flexibility to work remotely two days a week.  


This position is ideal for someone who is looking for challenging paralegal work in a busy and growing real estate department with the opportunity to continue their professional development. This is a junior role, with some real estate experience preferred. 

Duties and Requirements

  • Obtaining, preparing and/or filing various documents, certificates, statements, amendments, and forms.

  • Forming limited liability companies and other entities.

  • Preparing and tracking closing checklists and transactional documentation from letter of intent through closing, and participating in and attending closings.

  • Obtaining Registry of Deeds documentation.

  • Reviewing title and survey materials.

  • Assisting with recordings, both electronically and in-person.

  • Assisting with various lease documents.

  • Obtaining documents from various governmental agencies.

  • Organizing and managing electronic and paper files and ensuring that all files are maintained in accordance with department protocols and within the case management systems.

  • Performing legal and factual research using various research tools, including the Internet, Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other websites for case law, statues, articles, books, etc.

  • All other duties as assigned or required.


Qualifications:


  • College degree and/or a certificate in paralegal studies.

  • A minimum of four to five years of real estate paralegal experience in a law firm preferred with an emphasis on more complex transactional work experience.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel), and the ability to learn new software programs.  

  • Massachusetts Notary.

  • Flexibility to adjust work schedule to accommodate deadlines and necessary overtime work.  

  • Must be able to travel locally for business.  

Salary

$75,000 - $85,000
