About the Role

A mid-size law firm in Boston is seeking a Private Client Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant to support a group of attorneys, paralegals, and timekeepers in their fast-paced Fiduciary Litigation and  Domestic Relations Practice Groups. This is a hybrid role with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.

Duties and Requirements

  • New client intake: run conflict checks, open new client matters,  prepare engagement letters, create Outlook contact for all new clients.

  • Manage timekeeper’s calendar. Schedule appointments, meetings, stenographers, conference room reservations.

  • Save pleadings to document management system and maintain internal pleadings and discovery books (both paper and electronic).

  • Calendar dates and invite paralegals/attorneys to all scheduled events on case.

  • Prepare and process client bills using Aderant Expert software. Review,  edit, prepare and proofread pre-bills and invoices. Ensure client bills are sent out accurately and on time. Maintain updated contacts,  client/matter and active case lists.

  • Create, edit and compile large, complex heavily formatted documents. Prepare documents from draft or dictated format.

  • Oversee and coordinate filings with family and probate courts.

  • Answer telephone; screen and process incoming calls.



Qualified Requirements

  • 3+ years of litigation experience, preferably in fiduciary litigation or domestic relations

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Must have a strong customer service orientation and proactive work ethic

  • Work well in a team environment

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Extremely organized and efficient

  • Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent computer skills including Outlook and Word

  • This position involves extensive client contact and interaction with family and probate courts.

Salary

$75,000-90,000
