About the Role
A mid-sized law firm in Boston, is seeking a highly motivated Business Development & Event Planning Coordinator to join our dynamic Marketing Department. This newly created role will work closely with the Chief Marketing & Business Development Officer and Business Development Specialist to manage and execute firm events, memberships, sponsorships and individual attorney business development needs.
Duties and Requirements
Assist with the oversight of practice group business development activity, including coordination of individual attorney business plans.
Organize internal business analysis, market research and competitive intelligence to identify promising opportunities for short-term and longer-term growth.
Work with attorneys to develop customized materials for prospect/client pitches and presentations and assist with the ongoing proofing/editing of marketing collateral and proposals.
Identify potential attorney speaking opportunities and assist with all aspects of attorney speaking engagements.
Coordinate all event-related activities including timelines, mailing list cultivation and distribution, invitation design, timelines, nametags, etc.
Assists in cultivating event co-sponsors, including outreach and the coordination of sponsor benefit details.
Proactively collect post-event feedback and encourage follow-up activities.
Skills & Experience
Minimum 2-3 years professional working experience.
Law firm or professional services experience is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Poised and professional as he/she will deal with prospects, clients, referral sources and attorneys on a regular basis.
Must possess great time management, and interpersonal skills with strong attention to detail.
Required to handle multiple, timeline driven priorities and be available to work events that occur before or after normal business hours.
